Sara Kramer has wide experience working with children, students and adults both privately and in the workplace. She provides

  • literacy support programmes for children and adults
  • talks on dyslexia and SpLD

Sara has a Masters degree in Adult Dyslexia Diagnosis and Support (LSBU), a degree in Economics with Politics (Hons) and a background in business. She worked for a major energy company before training in dyslexia support.

She is a licensed Davis practitioner, has a L4 Dyslexia Action qualification in Developing Numeracy Skills in Learners with Dyslexia and Dyscalculia, and L5 Developing Writing Skills in Adults with Dyslexia. She also has completed a programme with Central Queensland University in Educational Neuroscience: research-led teaching approaches and has been awarded the Improve Your Memory Diploma from Centre of Excellence.

Sara has appeared in a Dystalk video discussing her experience as the parent of a dyslexic child and how you should evaluate available support options. She has also taken part in a series of Podcasts for The Whole Dyslexia Society talking about her research into the link between perceptual talent and dyslexia.
Her research article Is there a link between perceptual talent and dyslexia?  was published in the  Journal of Inclusive Practice in Further and Higher Education (Vol 6 pp 34-48 2016).

She has two sons, one of whom is dyslexic. It was through her journey to understand his thinking style and dyslexic difficulties that she discovered the power of the Davis methods. Sara completed her training as a Davis® Dyslexia facilitator in 2001 and has since worked in Surrey, Cape Town, Zimbabwe and London.
